Want to listen to the BBC to improve your English comprehension before leaving for a summer program?

The BBC World Service is not only one of the best sources of truly global news, it is also one of the most widely available one!

You can listen to the BBC on radio or on the Internet.

On the Internet, you have three options:

  1. Simply play live whatever is on, just as if you are listening on radio:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/audioconsole/?stream=live
  2. Go to the BBC World Service website and pick the news that interest you:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/
  3. Or if you like a particular program, you can go to schedules and listen to it:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/programmes/schedules

To listen on radio, go to this URL to find your local frequencies:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/programmeguide/

If no local frequency is available, and you can’t or don’t want to listen on the Internet, try this list of global short wave frequencies:

Enjoy :-)
