Job Details

Work Description: Your responsibilities will rotate between the kitchen, customer service, and general cleaning. You will be assigned to one or more of these areas on a rotating basis, depending upon where your employer needs you the most. You need to speak intermediate English to work customer service.

Salary and Bonuses: $8.25 per hour, overtime hours paid time and a half.

Work Hours: You will work up to 40 hours per week. Sometimes you will be asked to work overtime and will be paid time and a half for these hours.

NOTE: This permanent schedule will be given to you immediately upon arrival and you may find another job around these hours.

Housing

Accommodation Cost: $100.00 per week

Accommodation Description: You will be sharing housing with other international students. The $100.00 charge includes: housing, transportation to and from work, electricity, water, cell phone (employer puts $20.00 on card, after that you need to replenish minutes), furniture, dishes, bedding, wireless computer access and two computers within the apartment complex. Meal Discounts: Discounted meal while on shift, limit one meal per shift. All drinks are free.

Standard requirements for the Work Travel USA program sponsored by InterExchange, Inc. are:

  • Conversational English
  • Minimum placement duration 12 weeks (or for summer, until Labor Day, whichever is longer)
  • Minimum placement is 2.5 months in national parks

Uniform/Dress Code: No facial or body piercing, long hair must be pulled back. Men: No full beards, only mustaches and neatly varying goatees, no earrings. Shirts, hats and pants provided for free. Student must pay for them if they do not return them upon departure.
