Description of Business: This amusement park is a popular tourist attraction. It offers many rides and a water parks.

Description of Area: The park is centrally located to many shopping centers, movie theater complexes, and other beaches. There are many local restaurants on and off of the boardwalk. The beach runs along the amusement park. There are many historical sites to visit within short driving distances (Twin Lights, NYC, Atlantic City).

Job Details

Work Description: You will be assigned a position upon arrival based upon the needs of your employer. You will be an amusement park worker, water slide dispatcher, game operator, and food concessions. You may also be placed as a server at a restaurant. There are varying duties and responsibilities and you must come prepared to work where you are needed. There is no drinking or smoking on the job. You may also be trained to work as a lifeguard at the waterslide.

Salary and Bonuses: $7.15 per hour

Work Hours: You will usually be working 40 hours per week.

Accommodation Cost: $0

Accommodation Description: The housing will be free provided you maintain your living space respectfully. You will be provided with a place to stay that is within biking distance to the boardwalk, beach, and public transportation. A variety of housing arrangements will be used, such as single family houses. Your housing will be assigned to you upon arrival. The housing will be furnished with cooking, bathing, and refrigeration facilities. You will be sharing your room with other people and your employer will do his best to assign friends to the same houses. However, if you cannot live with your friends, all houses are within walking distance. There is no drinking or smoking in the house. Upon arrival your employer will discuss the housing guidelines which must be abided by.

Security Deposit: There will be a $250.00 refundable housing deposit that will be returned to you in full upon completion of the contract. $50.00 per week for the first 5 weeks will be withheld from your paycheck to cover the deposit.

Standard requirements for the Work Travel USA program sponsored by InterExchange, Inc. are:

  • Conversational English
  • Minimum placement duration 12 weeks (or for summer, until Labor Day, whichever is longer)
  • Minimum placement is 2.5 months in national parks

Uniform/Dress Code: You should always maintain a neat and clean appearance on the job. You will be working in a family park. Men must have moderate hair length and no facial hair. Women may have their ears pierced, but no employees can have other visible piercings. Uniforms will be provided as needed by your employer. Be sure to bring comfortable sneakers. You will be on your feet outside all day.

NOTE: This amusement park will only be open until September 15th. If you want to work after that, you can either find your own job or you can call InterExchange in September and we will help you find a new job that starts in mid-September.
