Work in RV rental company – California or New Jersey

Work and Travel USA jobs in RV rentals in California and New Jersey

California or New Jersey

If you always wanted to work in California or near New York City, here’s a great opportunity for you: Work in an RV rental company established in 1970, which every summer hires international students as summer help.

Santa Fe Springs, CA is 15 miles from downtown Los Angeles. Dublin, CA is 10 miles from San Francisco Bay. And Linden, NJ is 5 miles from New York’s Newark Airport.

RV means “recreational vehicle”; it may also be called a “motorhome” or in some countries a “caravan”. You can see one in the picture.

This company serves not just Americans, but also international tourists visiting the USA. This is why candidates for this placement must speak both English and German.

Here’s how it will work:

  1. Apply for the Full-Service Work & Travel program as usual. See the “How to apply” tab in the program description.
  2. If accepted for the program, you will receive the payment instructions.
  3. Your full payment has to arrive to us before April 20th.
  4. In mid-March, you will be interviewed via Skype or phone by the employer.
  5. In the event you wouldn’t be selected by this employer, you will be placed by the program sponsor with a different employer*, as is the way this program normally operates – the program guarantees you a job placement!

* This is why you will be entering your other preferences for program placement in your application, even though you will be applying for this one.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Both your English and your German must be 7 or better on the scale from 0 to 10, where 0 is a person who doesn’t speak English/German at all, and 10 is a native English/German speaker.

please is this program still available for 2012 summer? and how do i apply from ukraine for visa?

    • admin says:

Hi Samson. This is not a program. It’s one of placements that participants of this program could try for. This particular program guarantees accepted applicants a placement, which means that you can’t choose employers, although you can indicate your preference. But occasionally a so-called “direct placement” is organized and this was one of the cases. They way it worked was that participants could try for this employer and if they weren’t hired, they were placed elsewhere as normal. Nobody can tell which exact employers will hire international students next year. The application procedure is shown inside the program description, you can read it there. As for the visa, after you are accepted, and placed, you receive documents that you take to the nearest US Embassy where you apply for the visa. You need to consult the website of that particular embassy for the exact procedure as that’s slightly different in every country.

hello i am Mary, a third year full time student in Ghana. i really wish to apply for a job in the USA, new jersey to be precise because my boyfriend lives there and he could provide me with accommodation. first of all i want to know if i would have to pay less because i will provide accommodation by myself. secondly i also want to know if i would have to pay after i attain the visa or i would have to pay before i get my visa.
thirdly i want to know what happens if i am refused a visa? could there be a probability that i pay the first 50 dollars as the registration, after which you send me documents to use in processing my visa then pay the fees later after i have gotten the visa?

    • admin says:

Hello Mary, this placement is available for participants of this program: http://www.apex-foundation.org/work-and-travel-usa-apuwtfs/. The program is described in great detail under the URL. Find the fees and refund conditions under the “Prices” tab. Unlike for instance language courses, the program fee for this program doesn’t include accommodation, this means that the price of the program remain the same regardless if you have your accommodation or not. Finally, this is a rare example of so-called “direct placement” and this specific one requires that you speak fluent German, apart from English.

  4. Mustapha says:

I’ll be in level 400 summer 2013. Can I also apply?

    • admin says:

Hello Mustapha, we have no idea what “level 400″ means. To be able to apply, first of all, you really need to do so in October, not now. Second, you need to meet the eligibility requirements of the Work & Travel USA program. And finally, for this particular placement, you have to be fluent in both English and German.
