Work in an RV rental company in California or New Jersey

California or New Jersey

If you always wanted to work in California or near New York City, here’s a great opportunity for you: Work in an RV rental company established in 1970, which every summer hires international students as summer help.

Santa Fe Springs, CA is 15 miles from downtown Los Angeles. Dublin, CA is 10 miles from San Francisco Bay. And Linden, NJ is 5 miles from New York’s Newark Airport.

RV means “recreational vehicle”; it may also be called a “motorhome” or in some countries a “caravan”. You can see one in the picture.

This company serves not just Americans, but also international tourists visiting the USA. This is why candidates for this placement must speak both English and German.

Here’s how it will work:

  1. Apply for the Full-Service Work & Travel program as usual. See the “How to apply” tab in the program description.
  2. If accepted for the program, you will receive the payment instructions.
  3. Your full payment has to arrive to us before April 20th.
  4. In mid-March, you will be interviewed via Skype or phone by the employer.
  5. In the event you wouldn’t be selected by this employer, you will be placed by the program sponsor with a different employer*, as is the way this program normally operates – the program guarantees you a job placement!

* This is why you will be entering your other preferences for program placement in your application, even though you will be applying for this one.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Both your English and your German must be 7 or better on the scale from 0 to 10, where 0 is a person who doesn’t speak English/German at all, and 10 is a native English/German speaker.

Job description and information is as follows. Please note that while you can indicate a preference for location/position, the final decision where you’ll be assigned will be made by the employer.

Santa Fe Springs, CA
Santa Fe Springs (see map) is located 15 miles southeast of Los Angeles Downtown, or about 25 miles east from the Los Angeles International Airport. Many popular attractions are within a 1-hour drive from our location, such as Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Griffith Park, Universal Studios, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Dublin, CA
Dublin (see map), an East Bay San Francisco city, offers a variety of amenities to its residents and visitors. The close proximity to San Francisco makes Dublin accessible via public transportation. San Francisco is surrounded on three sides by the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. Most notable landmarks of San Francisco are its cable cars, and it is the home of the Golden Gate Bridge. In the “Tri-Valley” area near Dublin, 15 award-winning wineries make this one of the most accessible areas for wine adventures. Lake Tahoe, a four-hour drive, is the most coveted skier’s paradise with beautiful scenery and exciting nightlife, including gambling. Yosemite National Park, a 3 hour drive, is an all season center for recreation and getaways with giant glaciers, granite cliffs and magnificent waterfalls.
