Just 7 workdays after the application deadline, first Work & Travel USA participants are placed with their American employers. Although it’s a record (cheers Steve!) it still goes to show two things:

1. Real programs (not some lists of addresses) work
2. It pays to apply early

Find a copy the Job Placement below. Warren, NH is near this placement, for which you can still apply: 6 positions in an Amusement Park – Apply before Feb. 18th and economists among you will find interesting that just half way between these two places is Bretton Woods.


Job description and information is as follows:

JOB TITLE: Where Needed.

WORK DESCRIPTION: You will be assigned a position based on the needs of your employer. You should be prepared to do any or all of the following:

Kitchen/Snack Bar Help (food preparation, washing dishes, cleaning the kitchen, mopping floors, taking out garbage), Maintenance (mowing lawns, painting, carrying heavy objects, doing repairs, cleaning camping cabins, cleaning restrooms, raking campsites, etc.)

UNIFORM DRESS CODE: You must maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times. You will be provided with a shirt that you will wear as your uniform. Dark blue or tan pants and shorts are acceptable forms of dress. No revealing clothing. Shorts must come 1/2 way down your thigh and mini skirts are not allowed. There is no smoking or drinking allowed. Facial piercings are not permitted.



BONUSES: up to an additional $1.25 per every hour worked based on performance and fulfilling your commitment dates

WORK HOURS: You will usually be working 8-10 hours per day; 5-6 days per week.

ACCOMMODATION COST: Approximately $$60 per week.

ACCOMMODATION: Your accommodations will consist of a two-bedroom fully furnished apartment with cable TV, a computer with internet access, and a vehicle for employee use (international drivers license is required for each student driver). You will have use of bicycles.




COMPANY INFO: This campground is one of the region’s largest and most popular resorts. Tucked away in the beautiful White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire, the campground brings the proper balance of quiet solitude and family fun to camping. Its cabins, special RV sites, secluded tent sites, pool, playgrounds, nature trails and squeaky clean facilities are spread out over hundreds of acres of woodland.

AREA INFO: The campground is nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The White Mountain National Forest is famous for its hiking, biking, lake and river swimming as well as for its many tourist attractions and activities.
